The same magpie last week swooped another woman walking her child in a pram and she panicked of course ducked suddenly and broke her nose on her pram =( Yeah sure it wasn't the magpies fault she broke her nose but if she hadn't of ducked to prevent being attacked from this magpie she wouldn't of broke her nose, simple as that. Anyways in the local paper they had a article about how most of the vicious male magpies have been relocated 100kms away, I think it's sad they are being moved away from their "families" but what else can be done? I know people could avoid the areas they are known for swooping but most of the time not everyone knows where these birds are likely to attack. I love walking with my kids but at the moment I'm not walking as much as we should because I'm afraid of being swooped. Thank god it wont be long till the swooping season will be over but by then it will be too hot to go on our nice leisurely walks.
Have you even been attacked from a magpie? Do you agree the vicious ones should be relocated?
